3 heats · 6 pts
The day’s points, after three heats
One point for first, up to eight for last: the session adds up the places of your qualifying heats on its own, and you copy the total from the results sheet. Quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals are not counted in it.

8 practices, from the track to the pumptrack
BMX Race on 20-inch wheels, Cruiser on 24-inch, then freestyle. The practice is chosen first: the logbook shows only what concerns it.

0.207 s
Your reaction time at the gate
A training timer clocks the start from the gate: you note it session after session, track by track. It never appears in the official results and is compared only with the same timer.

The FFC categories, from U9 to Elite
The category is set once for the event and applies to each of its heats. The Cruiser 24-inch has its own, in adult age bands.

The plate, the class, the ranking
In France, the season’s plate follows your FFC Coupe de France ranking; in the United States, the class rises from Novice to Pro. 8 other systems are ready, from the UCI to the Spanish RFEC.

Time trial and its clock
A heat of racing is placed by place, never by time. Only the time trial, like a pumptrack lap, has its clock, with the record on each track.

7 tricks to start with
Each trick is written with its attempts and its landings; the rate works itself out. The position, regular, fakie or switch, and the obstacle are set, and the list grows with your own tricks.

First landing
A trick in progress until it lands
Each trick you work on is a project until its first landing. A tailwhip that has resisted for months and a brand-new 360 read in the same place.

The place, the phase, the track
The date, the place and the track: that is all you need. The event of the day, the phase, the practice, the time, the category, the bib and the day points come next, when you have them.
- The phase of the heat: numbered qualifying heat, quarter-final, semi-final or final, within the event of the day.
- “Next heat” copies the track and the category: three qualifying heats and a final in a few taps.
- The day points are copied from the sheet; the session adds up the places of the qualifying heats on its own.
- In freestyle, the tricks open straight away, with their attempts and landings.
Your day, heat by heat
Each line gives the practice, the place and, when there is one, the time of the race. The heats of one day sit together, under a header with the number of heats and the day points.
- Events kept apart: race, time trial, contest, jam, championship.
- The time of a race or a time trial reads on the line.
- A dirt, park or pumptrack session reads with its venue, its partners and its duration.
One place, and that is all
A heat is valid with its date and its place; the track, the category, the bib and the day points come when you have them. A free session needs only its date.
Tricks, and the contest score
The park, the street, the dirt, the flatland and the vert each have their tricks. A contest adds the run score, out of 99.99, which is never compared from one competition to the next.
